Horse Rhythm Foundation was founded by Sahika Riley, herself a disabled veteran, to bring equine therapy and specialized services to veterans, first responders and their families, in an attempt to bridge the gap between conventional healing and whole-being wellness of mind, body and spirit. The program began as a 'Pay it Forward' program for helping those in need. Horse Rhythm Foundation is run by volunteers who are devoted to making a difference and are committed to the goals and mission of HRF.

LifeStart was founded in 2001 to create services which enable families and people with disabilities to live in a home environment and strives to assure that children up to age 21 with disabilities have a loving, competent foster care experience, leading to adoption or reunification with family. Many of the LifeStart foster families have healthcare related backgrounds. LifeStart provides extensive foster family support including ongoing training, consultation, and brainstorming regarding the needs of children in the home. The mission of A Grateful Mind International is to provide immediate humanitarian relief to individuals and families who are experiencing a crisis, while providing them access to educational resources that will empower them to move beyond their crisis. They meet this mission by helping their neighbors in need (where ever they may be) get a helping hand by providing emergency crisis assistance, educational resources and hope, to help them move beyond their current crisis and get back on a path of sustainable self-sufficiency.
With the economic problems of today, people are faced with difficult life choices every day, "Do I pay the rent, or buy the medication I need?"
