The HPS Network's mission is to provide support, education and hope to individuals and families affected by Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome. They support and facilitate research and generate resources for healthcare professionals, seek to educate physicians and populations at highest risk, and aggressively outreach to Puerto Rican communities because of the prevalence of HPS among this population. They are engaged actively with the American Thoracic Society and other non-profits with common goals. The HPS Network maintains a database of over 1,300 members affected with HPS and sends out a mailing of information to the family, and if requested, to physicians and school nurses. The Network plays an active role in research with the National Institutes of Health and other bench researchers with an interest in HPS. The HPS Network is the only advocacy group available to those dealing with the diagnosis of Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome.

Mid-State Technical College Foundation provides financial support for students attending Mid-State Technical College through scholarships, grants, and emergency funding for unforeseen events that could cause students to leave school and not complete their education.

Oshkosh Area United Way (OAUW), a local nonprofit organization, was established in 1962 as a community-wide fundraising campaign. More than five decades later, OAUW has evolved from those roots as a fundraising organization to a community convener which mobilizes local partners including businesses, community leaders, public officials, and residents, to identify community issues and solve problems.
