They believe every student in America and beyond deserves to be taught life-saving social and emotional skills that will help them make friends, manage enemies, and live a meaningful life.

The Family Enrichment Center, is a unique place where human service nonprofits share space, costs and passion for serving the community. Their building was built for the agencies and then donated by an anonymous donor. This great environment facilitates collaboration and good work for the community. Their mission is to strengthen nonprofits for a better community.

Each agency provides its own unique programs and services for infants through senior citizens, providing services which range from crisis intervention, counseling, youth mentoring, economic assistance, support for children dealing with death or divorce, independent living support for people with disabilities, prevention education, senior support, community resource database, workforce services for individuals with barriers to finding employment, training, parent education and support, as well as the opportunity to give back to the community through volunteerism. The Salvation Army Harrisburg offers 11 different programs that benefit approximately 20,000 individuals. This includes youth, seniors, and adults in our region. Their services aim to meet basic needs and change the future for their clients. Once they meet emergency needs (food, utility assistance), they then offer youth programs and self sufficiency case management.

The National Association of Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) is a nonprofit aiming to provide safer environments for our youth. Its mission is to decrease the potential for violence in our schools and communities by promoting meaningful student involvement, education and service opportunities.
