Albie Aware, a regional foundation serving Northern California, was created in memory of Albie Carson, who succumbed to breast cancer in 2002. Albie Aware was so named because it sounds like "I'll be aware" - which is their purpose - to make people aware of cancer PREVENTION methods through nutrition and exercise, to encourage self-examination and follow-up doctor's appointments for early DETECTION, to be aware of the diagnostic testing available to determine the best TREATMENT for breast cancer and the early detection of a recurrence, and to provide financial assistance when these tests are not covered by the insurance provider.

My Hope Bag is an organization of volunteers, founded in 2011, whose mission is to give hope, comfort and support to the those diagnosed with breast cancer. At a woman's request a My Hope Bag is either hand-delivered, or mailed to those outside of Arizona. A tote bag is filled with comfort items like a handmade flannel heart pillow and a blanket for keeping warm during treatments, a "My Breast Cancer Journey" notebook for keeping track of important information, as well as important resources, and many other items that can help provide comfort and support through her journey. Recipient are able to ask questions and voice concerns with someone who has been through a similar journey.

The mission of Sisters Network is to save lives by educating women about the devastating effects of breast cancer, and to serve as a resource for health information pertinent to African American women. The inspiration to start Sisters Network Greensboro, which was founded in July 2010, was a result of a 3 year breast cancer study. One of the many outcomes of this study was the lack of support groups addressing the needs of African American women facing breast cancer.

Sister Network Greensboro participates in several national organization initiatives, as well as, local activities that aim to reach women no matter where they are on their breast cancer journey. Prevention education and free mammogram screenings to those who qualify are just some of the services they offer.

West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition for Long Island, Inc. was founded in 1992 and proudly continues under the direction of a dedicated group of volunteers. Their mission is to provide support services to women who are undergoing treatment and requiring post-mastectomy care with their "Lend A Helping Hand" program and to actively promote cancer and environmental awareness with education, advocacy, and outreach throughout the community. The "Lend A Helping Hand" program provides services such as transportation to and from appointments, house cleaning, prepared meals and other help that those recovering from cancer care need.

West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition will use their product grant for items they can give away at fundraisers to help bring awareness to their organization, hopefully reaching those in need of their assistance and services.
