Judson Center has a long history of serving those who are most vulnerable in the community, and have now combined their program efforts with the strength of Child Safe's mentoring program. These two enlightened charities now have the ability to serve with a more collective and concentrated impact. Children's health and well-being are in large part dependent on the life circumstances in which they are born and grow up with. In order to thrive and develop to their fullest potential, their basic needs for food, clothing, shelter and access to healthcare must be met, and they must have opportunities to develop safe, stable and nurturing relationships with parents, caregivers and other adults. Offering complimentary services to children in foster care who are at-risk of making dangerous choices in life. That is where our community based mentoring program for youth in foster care comes in.

Child Safe Michigan's Community Based Mentoring Program is the only successful program in the state of Michigan that is dedicated to youth in foster care including youth aging out of the foster care system as well as youth at risk. Community-based services give foster youth the chance to develop a long-term relationship with an adult, other than an authority figure, who then becomes a friend, role model and advocate. Their mentoring program is designed specifically to assist mentors to understand the challenges of building a relationship with a foster care/at-risk youth and has the potential to dramatically impact the youth's perception of themselves and build their self-esteem. Research indicates that mentoring can reduce mentee risk behaviors and thus may also reduce the likelihood of the mentee's future involvement in the welfare and criminal justice systems.

The goal of the Child Safe Michigan Mentoring Program is to create quality, lasting, one-on-one relationships that provide a minimum of 100 youth with caring role models to nurture their future successes.

McGuire Memorial provides a continuum of care to children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, including those with complex medical conditions and individuals on the autism spectrum. They offer two residential programs based on need, a pre-school - 12 grade school, vocational training programs, job placement services, and life enrichment programs based on individual interests and abilities.

McGuire Memorial is committed to helping individuals with severe disabilities achieve a fullness of life. Currently, 300 children and adults with complex physical and intellectual disabilities achieve miracles each and every day at their Intermediate Care Facility, in their Community Homes, at The School at McGuire and with their Employment Option Center.

Miracle Flights provides free commercial flights to families in need of specialized, distant medical care and/or second opinions due to a rare or life threatening condition. Flight support is provided at no cost to the family, as many times necessary. Programs include domestic and international travel to U.S. treatment facilities & to train/retrieve a service dog. There are over 7,000 rare diseases affecting Americans nation-wide - over half affected are children. No one doctor can be an expert in them all. Highly specialized care and treatment options are limited and often far from home. Miracle Flights is here to help families along their journey to help and hope.

DDWSF is a private, volunteer driven fund that dispenses nine awards per year to deserving high school seniors who plan to attend accredited colleges and universities.

The David and Dovetta Wilson Scholarship Fund's commitment is to helping address the students' need to fill the financial gap experienced in pursuing higher education. As higher education costs increase, the ability to meet these costs dwindles. DDWSF endeavors to lend a hand in the fight. Their objective is to continue increasing the total cash awards, as well as the number of scholarships. They will continue to solicit assistance from corporations, friends, and supporters who share their vision for tomorrow's leaders. They will pursue their work until DDWSF becomes self sustaining into perpetuity.
